Several mourners have said that Africa lost a great representative in Mr. Dumor.
Dumor was based in London where he was the main anchor of the BBC show, “Focus on Africa.” He began working for the BBC in 2003,first as a broadcaster for the radio show “Network Africa.” Prior to that, he worked for ten years in his native Ghana, where he had been awarded the Journalist of the Year Award in 2003. Aside from his presence on “Focus of Africa,” he is known for his TEDxEuston talk titled, “Telling the African Story.”
A variety of fans and media personalities have taken to Twitter to express their shock at his sudden passing, including CNN’s Errol Barnett, Nigerian publisher and journalist Dele Momodu and Ghanaian musician, Sarkodie.
