'She's LIVING life!': Oprah Winfrey denies rumours Tina Turner, 74, had 'suffered a stroke' at her home in Switzerland



Our dear 'what's love got to do with it' crooner is healthy and kicking. The beautiful Tina Turner who has retired and living quietly in Switzerland with her husband was rumoured to have been hit by stroke but her close friend Oprah Winfrey cleared the hair. 
Reports by Dailymail states that, Oprah Winfrey has denied reports that her close friend Tina Turner had suffered a stroke at her home in Switzerland.
Oprah - who attended Tina's wedding to German record exec Erwin Bach last year - took to her official Twitter account on Friday to deny a report over the singer's ill health.
'Tina had a bad flu weeks ago. She's recovered. And LIVING life! Sent me a single long-stem red rose for my birthday,' she tweeted.
A gossip site, Hollywood Street King falsely reports that Tina, real name Anna Mae Bullock, had suffered the stroke at her home in Zurich, Switzerland, and was under 'nurses' care'.
Tina retired from performing 2009, having moved to Switzerland for a relatively quiet life in 1995.
Last year it was revealed that Tina is no longer an American citizen, after her long-time residency in Switzerland.
Meanwhile, Oprah attended her wedding to Erwin last year, and made headline news when she believed she had a racist encounter while out shopping.
However, Oprah later appeared to change her mind about the incident.
She tweeted in August after the event: 'Turns out that store clerk did me a favor. Just found out that bag was $38K!!! She was right I was NOT going to buy it.'

Although retired, Tina Turner recently released a compilation album titled Love Songs.
The 18-track collection includes some of biggest hits including What's Love Got To Do With It, Private Dancer, and The Best.
However, there was no new material included on the set, and a spokesperson revealed it was unlikely that the 'happily retired' star would be doing any promotional activity.
