Slowly but surely, things are improving for Tracy Morgan after the horrific car crash on Saturday, June 7, that killed fellow comedian James McNair and left others, including Morgan, seriously injured.
"Happy to pass along that Tracy has been upgraded to fair condition, which is a great improvement," his rep told Us Weekly of the comic who had been in critical condition for more than a week following the six-car pileup in Cranbury, New Jersey.
"His personality is certainly starting to come back as well," added the rep of the 30 Rock alum's progress. As Us previously reported, the 45-year-old suffered a broken leg, broken nose and broken ribs following the tragic car accident.
Also injured in the crash was 43-year-old stand-up comedian Ardie Fuqua, Morgan's assistant Jeff Millea, and comic Harris Stanton.
There was good news regarding Millea's progress too. "Jeff’s family shared that he has been upgraded to fair condition as well," Morgan's rep said.
Morgan's fiancee Megan Wollover remains by his side, passing on all the good wishes and prayers he's received from family, friends and fans.
Kevin Roper, the driver of the Walmart truck that plowed into the limo bus carrying Morgan and the others, had reportedly been awake for more than 24 hours at the time of the collision.
Roper pleaded not guilty to charges of vehicular homicide and assault by auto on Wednesday, June 11 and was released on $50,000 bail.
