Kanye West Pleads No Contest, Sentenced to Probation and Anger Management Therapy in Battery Case

Rapper Kanye West has been sentenced for battery and seizing the camera of a paparazzi guy.

According to reports by Usmagazine, Kanye West has some work ahead of him. The 36-year-old rapper pleaded no contest to misdemeanor battery against a photographer on Monday, March 17, in a special plea in which he maintains his innocence.
The Associated Press reports that West's attorney entered the plea on his behalf in court in L.A. He was sentenced to two years of probation, 24 anger management therapy sessions, and 250 hours of community service.
The "Bound 2" rapper was charged with misdemeanor counts of battery and grand theft after an altercation with photographer Daniel Ramos at LAX airport back in July. Ramos attended the hearing Monday with his lawyer, Gloria Allred.

This wasn't West's first scuffle at LAX. Kim Kardashian's fiance was arrested in September 2008 following an altercation with photographers, but the cases were dismissed after he completed anger management therapy and paid for the damaged equipment.
