My Life Is now In Danger For Refusing To Perform For PDP – Lagbaja

Recently, Lagbaja rejected the offer to perform at the grand finale of the Osun PDP Governorship election campaign which held at Osogbo and which was also used to host the President, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, the musician has cried out that his musical shrine, “The Wonderland” has received too many august visitors in the last one week from the Department of State Security Service (SSS) and Armed Mobile Policemen on the instructions from order from above.

They have continuously lay siege for Lagbaja and after a futile attempt to get him, has resorted to harassment and molestation of staff members of his company. Lagbaja, who spoke from the UK, said he has been away from Nigeria in the last 41days owing to performance he had in London and Canada.

He also claimed to have received threats to his life to either debunk the story published by some major newspapers in the country or face the music.

After conversation with his friend of over 15years who also happens to be a close ally of the President, the PDP National Secretariat promised to double his remuneration if he decided to return home from UK to perform and honour Mr. President in Osun State.

That his performance will further weaken the notion and belief in the residents of Osun that Omisore killed Bola Ige.

He however appealed to Nigerians to keep praying for him as he stands for Justice.

Experimental Drug Likely Saved Ebola Patients

On Thursday, Dr. Kent Brantly thought he was going to die. It was the ninth day since the American missionary worker came down sick with Ebola in Liberia.

His condition worsening by the minute, Brantly called his wife to say goodbye.

Thankfully, the call was premature.

Brantly is back on his feet -- literally -- after receiving a last-ditch, highly experimental drug. Another American missionary with Ebola got the same.

Brantly's and Nancy Writebol's conditions significantly improved after receiving the medication, sources say. Brantly was able to walk into Emory University Hospital in Atlanta after being evacuated to the United States last week, and Writebol is expected to arrive in Atlanta on Tuesday.

On July 22, Brantly woke up feeling feverish. Fearing the worst, Brantly immediately isolated himself. Writebol's symptoms started three days later. A rapid field blood test confirmed the infection in both of them after they had become ill with fever, vomiting and diarrhea.

It's believed Brantly and Writebol, who worked with the aid organization Samaritan's Purse, contracted Ebola from another health care worker at their hospital in Liberia, although the official Centers for Disease Control and Prevention case investigation has yet to be released.

The experimental drug, known as ZMapp, was developed by the biotech firm Mapp Biopharmaceutical Inc., which is based in San Diego. The patients were told that the treatment had never been tried before in a human being but had shown promise in small experiments with monkeys.

According to company documents, four monkeys infected with Ebola survived after being given the therapy within 24 hours after infection. Two of four other monkeys that started therapy within 48 hours after infection also survived. One monkey that was not treated died within five days of exposure to the virus.

Brantly and Writebol were aware of the risk of taking a new, little understood treatment and gave informed consent, according to two sources familiar with the care of the missionary workers. In the monkeys, the experimental serum had been given within 48 hours of infection. Brantly didn't receive it until he'd been sick for nine days.

The medicine is a three-mouse monoclonal antibody, meaning that mice were exposed to fragments of the Ebola virus and then the antibodies generated within the mice's blood were harvested to create the medicine. It works by preventing the virus from entering and infecting new cells.

The Ebola virus causes viral hemorrhagic fever, which refers to a group of viruses that affect multiple organ systems in the body and are often accompanied by bleeding.

Early symptoms include sudden onset of fever, weakness, muscle pain, headaches and a sore throat. They later progress to vomiting, diarrhea, impaired kidney and liver function -- and sometimes internal and external bleeding.

The ZMapp vials reached the hospital in Liberia where Brantly and Writebol were being treated Thursday morning. Doctors were instructed to allow the serum to thaw naturally without any additional heat. It was expected that it would be eight to 10 hours before the medicine could be given, according to a source familiar with the process.

Brantly asked that Writebol be given the first dose because he was younger and he thought he had a better chance of fighting it, and she agreed. However, as the first vial was still thawing, Brantly's condition took a sudden turn for the worse.

Brantly began to deteriorate and developed labored breathing. He told his doctors he thought he was dying, according to a source with firsthand knowledge of the situation.

Knowing his dose was still frozen, Brantly asked if he could have Writebol's now-thawed medication. It was brought to his room and administered through an IV. Within an hour of receiving the medication, Brantly's condition dramatically improved. He began breathing easier; the rash over his trunk faded away. One of his doctors described the events as "miraculous."

By the next morning, Brantly was able to take a shower on his own before getting on a specially designed Gulfstream air ambulance jet to be evacuated to the United States.

Writebol also received a vial of the medication. Her response was not as remarkable, according to sources familiar with the treatment. However, doctors on Sunday administered Writebol a second dose of the medication, which resulted in significant improvement.

She was stable enough to be evacuated back to the United States and is expected to arrive before noon Tuesday.

The process by which the medication was made available to Brantly and Writebol is highly unusual. ZMapp has not been approved for human use, and has not even gone through the clinical trial process, which is standard to prove the safety and efficacy of a medication. It may have been given under the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's "compassionate use" regulation, which allows access to investigational drugs outside clinical trials.

Madwoman Stones Own Baby To Death

After giving birth to twins in Aba, a young mentally challenged woman caused a stir in Aba, Abia State at the weekend when she gave birth to a set of female twins on a heap of refuse and stoned one to death before the police were invited.

It was gathered that an unknown person impregnated the woman, in her mid 20s and whose name could not be ascertained as at press time, late last year.

Sources told Daily Sun that in the wee hours of Saturday, she gave birth to two girls without any assistance on top of a heap of garbage close to an AGIP filling station at Alaoji, along the Ikot Ekpene Road, near Aba.

It was gathered that after giving birth to the babies, the insane woman fell asleep and when one of the babies started crying, she woke up used a stone she found within the place to hit her and the child died before she could be rescued.

Sensing that the life of the second baby could also be in danger, residents of the area alerted the police and the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) for Ogbor Hill Division, Mrs. Helen Nze, was said to have led a team of policemen to the refuse dump.

The police rushed the baby that was still alive to a private hospital, where she was cleaned and given medication, and deposited the dead one in a mortuary.

Checks by Daily Sun revealed that police might have concluded plans to hand over the baby to the Welfare Department of Aba South Local Government after the necessary documentations because of the inherent danger in allowing the baby to stay with her mother.

Ooppss! Kelly Rowland Accidentally Reveals Her Baby's Sex

Kelly Rowland has accidentally revealed her baby's gender during an interview with FOX411.

"We're very excited," Rowland said. "So far, everything has been good. I just feel like the baby is already [spoiled] rotten. Like literally, my Caress family [she's teaming up with the body wash company for a new campaign] has gotten him all of his little bathing stuff, his toys… it's just so cool."

When the singer realized she let the gender pronoun slip she laughed it off, "It, it's… aw, f--k it! It's a boy. It's a boy!"

Kelly then asked her publicist to call husband Tim Witherspoon to let him know what had just happened: "Can you please tell him that I spilled the beans?"

Very funny #hehehe

Meet The Human Ken Doll Justin Jedlica

Most little girls played with Barbie doll when growing up and some adults still have her as a collector's item. Today i'm talking about Barbie's man Ken doll but in this case, is human unlike the lifeless Ken doll.

Justin Jedlica was born on August 8, 1980 (33) and grew up in Bronx New York. He became famous after undergoing over 100 plastic surgeries. This lead to the media calling him 'The. Human Ken Doll'. This self-professed “artist” and “pioneer of the modifiable male aesthetic” has no intention of stopping his surgical alterations.

"My father and mother were both originally from the Bronx, New York and both shared a common religious and ethnic background, being Catholic and of Slovak decent. I was brought up in a lower-income household of six, the oldest of four siblings, three boys and the youngest, my sister", said the outgoing Justin.

He went further to say, "as  a first born child, my parents were fairly strict with me. My father had wanted his first child to be a boy; a child who would reflect his interests, beliefs as well as physical attributes. I was anything but what he had expected. Instead of sports and cars, I was drawn to the arts and had an affinity for the “finer things in life.” I had an intense passion for sketching and sculpting the human form, for music and for performing. I watched television longing to be one of “those people” who lived in luxury, glamour and “fabulosity.” My community, my family, and my friends didn't seem to understand me or my interests. I always felt that I was destined for more grander things, but wasn't sure how my life would be any different from the one I had experienced as a child. Before I had even graduated high school, I began searching for a plastic surgeon to "fix" my nose. I was seventeen. My family was not supportive of my decision to schedule my surgery. Therefore, without their blessing, I was forced to wait until I reached the legal age of consent, eighteen. Four days later, I climbed onto the operating table and underwent my first cosmetic surgery. Years later and a consistently increasing number of procedures, I continue my journey of modification. The process itself is cathartic for me. The restructuring of the contours of my face and body in an effort to customize myself perseveres as I grow as an individual. I plan on maintaining my looks and continuing to present the most optimal version of myself."

In about ten years he has undergone over 140 cosmetic procedures. These  includes rhinoplasty, chest implants, shoulder implants, bicep implants, triceps implants, brow shaving and lifts, cheek augmentations, subpectoral implants, thigh implants, gluteoplasty, lip augmentations and calf implants.

Justin Jedlica is a gay married man. He resides in The Trump Tower in Chicago, Illinois with his husband. The couple got married after dating for 5 years. Justin 'Human Ken doll' says his husband is in support of his body enhancement surgery and doll look.
"He tells me that my plastic surgery turns him on… he doesn’t have any qualms with it. It was something we talked about even before we got married, because I was like, ‘We’re not going to get married if you’re going to give me shit about my surgeries!’ He was like, ‘Oh, I know that’s part of you, it’s totally fine.’ He’s not opposed to having work done either. It really was a moot point; it wasn’t an issue at all. I think he thinks it’s kind of cool."

Hope you had a great time reading about our human Ken doll, would bring you Barbie some other time #hehehe.

Ghana Bans Flights From Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Liberia Over Ebola Concerns

Ghana has officially banned flights from 4 West African countries; Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia, and Nigeria, citing concerns about the rapid spread of the Ebola virus, which has claimed several lives.

Charles Asare, Managing Director of the Ghana Airport Company, said the measure was part of a set of emergency management plans officials are rolling out to combat the spread of the virus. Continue..

The government there has also implemented strict restrictions on the movement and management of Liberian refugees in camps in the country.

Health Minister, Kwaku Agyeman-Mensah, urged Ghanaians to bear with the government as they work to contain the virus. "Preparedness is not an event but a process," he said.
