Yay!!! Happy Birthday To Me

As i turn a year older today, i give all glory and thanks to my creator the most high God. I am thankful for the gift of life and the renewal of his steadfast love & mercy. Someone told me days back that i take my birthday too serious and i laughed at the person's ignorance.
I might not be where i want to be but i am not where i used to be. I might not be a millionaire but i am blessed with all i need. I might not be married but i am surrounded by so much love that i feel overwhelmed. Each day people who are older, younger and even my age mates die but i am here not because i am more holy, perfect or more special but for the mercy of God. Each day is a special gift worth celebrating and if i choose to celebrate every 365th day of my life, i think it is not even enough. God has saved me from myself a million times and from various things both seen and unseen. So tell me why i should not acknowledge Him.

As i turn a year older today, i am grateful for the gift of life, good health, loving family, great friends and the lovely people who visit my blog. You all are a real gift and you give my life a lift.

Love you all and have a lovely weekend.

OMG! 18-year-old Girl Set To Wed Her Father

There is nothing new under the sun and we keep hearing/ reading strange things each day. According to africanspotlight.com, a young girl who is planning her upcoming wedding may have some trouble getting her mother to attend the ceremony – as she is marrying her father.

The unnamed 18-year-old is revealing all the details of her two year relationship with her father in an interview with Science of Us, from how they fell in love and the first time they had sex to what their plans are for the future.

And one of those plans she is very certain of – the two will have children.

The woman, who hails from the Great Lakes region, reconnected with her father when she was 16, this after 12 years of estrangement.

Her parents got pregnant on Prom night, and she grew up with her mother, who the young girl claims is bipolar.

Her father reached out to her on Facebook when she was in high school, and after the two met up she went to go stay with him for a week.

They had sex that week, her first time, and were soon dating.

‘There’s a reason I lost my virginity to him because I’d never felt comfortable with any other man. It was insanely sensual,’ she says.

‘It lasted for about an hour and there was a lot of foreplay. We both had orgasms. We are so similar, so it’s so easy to sexually please each other. For example, we both love neck-biting. I’ve never been in a more passionate, loving, fulfilling situation.’

The two are not even hiding their situation, with many around them aware of what is going on between them.

‘Everyone on my mom’s side of the family sees us as father and daughter,’ she explains.

‘Those who know that he’s my dad, and that we are engaged, include my father’s parents (they can see we are happy together and they can’t wait for us to have babies they treat us just like any other couple), the woman we live with, and my best friend.’

The wedding has already been planned, and she will be telling her mother – after the two make the moved to New Jersey.

‘We plan to move to New Jersey where we can be safe under the law, since adult incest isn’t illegal there, and once I’m there I’ll tell everyone,’ she says.

‘I’ll call my mom and let her know that we are in love and we are having children. If she wants to see her grandkids we’ll send her money and she can drive to see us.’

And while many people, and science, may argue that having a child with a family member can lead to genetic problems, she scoffs at this notion.

‘Everybody thinks that kids born in incestuous relationships will definitely have genetic problems, but that’s not true,’ she explains.

‘That happens when there’s years of inbreeding, like with the royal family. Incest has been around as long as humans have.’

That being said, she says her chidlren will never learn how mommy and daddy first met.

‘I don’t want to give them any problems,’ she says.

Obasanjo Endorses Presidential Candidate Buhari

Former president Olusegun Obasanjo on Tuesday publicly expressed support for the All Progessive Congress Presidential candidate General Muhammadu Buhari.
Until now,Obasanjo has not specifically endorsed Buhari despite his open criticism President Goodluck Jonathan regime.
Speaking at the launch of his book, My Watch , in Nairobi, Kenya , the former Nigerian president, under the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) also condemned the postponement of the election.
He said: “The circumstances [Buhari] will be working under if he wins the election are different from the one he worked under before, where he was both the executive and the legislature – he knows that
“It’s a question of leadership – political and military. He’s smart enough. He’s educated enough. He’s experienced enough. Why shouldn’t I support him?” It was the first time that the ex-president was publicly speaking of his support for Buhari.
He criticised the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan, accusing him of wasting the country’s resources. “You need to ask [Jonathan] how has he let [the army]go to this extent,” he said “Many things went wrong: recruitment went wrong; training went wrong; morale went down; motivation not there; corruption was deeply ingrained; welfare was bad.” When asked if he was still nursing further political ambition, he said: “I am an old man and I’m enjoying what I’m doing now… And then you forget I am a farmer; I have to manage my farm.”

Gallery: The Stars Shining Bright Like Diamonds At The 57th Grammy Awards

The stars looked dashing in their outfits last night at the 57th Grammy awards held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California last night.

Madonna and some celebrities took their outfits to the extreme while others remained conservative in their gorgeous clothes. Giuliana Rancic rocked a jumpsuit instead of her signature couture gowns. The night was full of so much fun that the hardly ever smiling Kanye West was seen laughing hard.
