16-Year-Old Florida Student Graduates From College…Before High School

Black excellence!

16-year-old Grace Bush is proving that her generation isn’t completely lost and destined for doom. The Florida whiz kid just achieved a rare feat by not only graduating from college at 16, but also doing it before graduating high school!

“Wait, what?!”

You read that correctly. The Florida teen earned her bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Florida Atlantic University last Friday, a week before she’s set to obtain her high school diploma. And she did it all in three years while maintaining a 3.8 GPA.

Besides hard work and dedication, the achievement is thanks in part to FAU’s dual-enrollment program which allows overachievers like Grace to earn credit for selected college courses while in high school.

I started when I was 13 at Broward College, and I also took my classes throughout the summer, so I was able to finish it before four years.

The awesomely amazing part of all this is teenage college graduates isn’t something new for the Bush family, which includes nine children, all of whom were home-schooled.

Grace revealed:

My two older sisters are doing it and I’m the third to do it. My oldest sister already graduated and my second oldest sister is graduating in the summer.

As for her plans, Grace has her sights set on becoming chief justice of the United States, and she’s well on her way. The teenager hopes to spend her summer preparing for the LSAT [The Law School Admission Test] before pursuing her Master’s degree this fall.
