Good News! 30 Days In Atlanta Original VCD Floods Lagos

As a result of the devious manner in which pirates produced copies of the hilarious movie, ‘30 Days In Atlanta’ even before the original was produced, the owner of the movie has devised a smart way of countering the efforts of pirates by releasing original copies of the movie in visual compact discs (VCDs).
The movie, ‘30 Days in Atlanta’ is the award winning comedy produced by Ayo Makun (AY) and featured Hollywood thespians namely Vivicia A. Fox, Lynn Whitfield, Karlie Redd and Nollywood greats, Richard Mofe Damijo, Ramsey Noah, Mercy Johnson, Rachael Oniga, Ada Ameh, Kese Jabari and Ghollywood acts, Michel Majid, Juliet Ibrahim. The comedy depicted AY as Akpos, a self centred jobless young man from Warri, Delta State, and it recently got the New Era Award at the AMVCA 2015.
In a phone chat, Ayo Makun disclosed that, a marketer has taken up the task to check the devilish acts of pirates who flooded the Nigerian market three weeks ago with thousands of copies of the movie.
“Paulo Concepts has taken up the task to produce the VCD copies of 30 Days in Atlanta. This is to shore-up the fake copies already in the market. There are other plans which I won’t divulge now. I want to thank the media for standing by us. Pirates don’t deserve to thrive here”. Meanwhile, the agency tasked with the arduous work of fighting piracy has shown the green light to hunt for the perpetrators of the movie being pirated. The Lagos commander of the Nigeria Copyright Commission NCC, Barr Chris Nkwuocha, has stated that the NCC has begun investigation on the matter having been given the necessary information needed to nip the problem in the bud.
30 Days in Atlanta became a sell-out in Nigerian cinemas after its premier last October and the movie became the highest grossing movie of Nigerian cinemas.
uted by Silverbird Film Distribution Company.  The movie has been premiered in Ghana, London and other countries. Plans were in place to premier 30 Days in Atlanta in other countries before the piece fell into the hands of pirates.
